PRIVACY POLICY
Effective October 25, 2026
This policy explains what information TintKits collects when you use our website, web app and plotter helper, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it to what we need to run the Service.
What we collect
Account information
Your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google. Your password is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see it.
Purchases
Which kits you bought, the price, date, and how many cuts you have left. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number; Stripe sends us your email and whether the payment succeeded.
Cutting activity
Each cut: which kit, when, and the name of the computer running the TintKits Helper. Cut files are created on our server for your plotter and deleted automatically once the job finishes or fails.
Your own designs
If you add a file or text to the cut board, it is read on our server to show it on the board and build your cut file. We save the outline to your Recent Files so you can use it again; you can delete it there at any time.
Sellers
If you apply to sell, we keep your application (shop name, contact details, what you make) and your uploaded pattern files. Payout details (bank account, tax information) are collected and kept by Stripe, not by us.
Support messages
If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you.
Basic technical data
Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type and errors) for security and to keep the Service running.
How we use it
- To run your account, unlock kits you buy and count your cuts;
- To send cut jobs to your plotter;
- To answer support requests and send important account notices;
- To prevent fraud and the copying or sharing of patterns;
- To understand which vehicles and kits are needed most.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- We don’t use advertising trackers in the app.
- We don’t send marketing emails unless you choose to receive them.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that help us run the Service, and only what they need:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — hosting, sign-in, database and file storage (United States).
- Recraft — draws AI designs from the description you type (only the description is sent, not your name or email).
- Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
- Pattern sellers — if you buy a seller’s kit, they may see that a sale happened, but not your card details.
We may also share information if required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public.
Cookies
We use only what’s needed to keep you signed in and the app working. We don’t use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep account and purchase records while your account is open, and purchase records as long as needed for taxes and accounting. Cut files are deleted when the job finishes.
Your choices
- See or fix your information: email us and we’ll help.
- Delete your account: email us from the address on your account. We’ll delete your account information, keeping only what we must for legal or accounting reasons.
- Nevada residents may ask us not to sell their information. We don’t sell personal information, but you can still contact us with that request.
Security
All connections use encryption (HTTPS). Access to data is limited by security rules, and card payments never touch our servers. No system is perfect, so please use a strong, private password.
Children
The Service is for businesses and professionals and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and let you know about important changes by email or in the app.
